Since 1968, KT has grown into an integrated group of companies with 50 patents and over 300 employees in Canada and the U.S. KT Industries Ltd. supplies specialty tapes to its global customers in the packaging, graphic arts and wire and cable industries. Today, speed to market is critical and requires the flexibility, forward thinking and effective development capabilities that are unique to KT. We focus our resources in product and process development, contract converting and equipment supply to bring a product to market in the shortest possible time. Working together, our materials experts, operators and machine designers can decrease the time required to develop full solutions - new products and the equipment to make them – for our customers. Then, we can provide contract services to deliver the product to market while we manufacture the equipment. Alternatively, we provide ongoing converting services to alleviate our customers' need to purchase equipment. Either way, KT provides a unique combination of short-term and long-term solutions that increase our customers' speed to market.

Specialists in Spooling Technology

KT has developed equipment for a vast number of nonwovens, films and foils, ranging from steel tape to sophisticated elastomerics, perforated films, laminates, multi-layered substrates and high-loft materials. Patented by KT, Step-Pac® technology is the heart of our spooling services. We have patented several other systems including the SUPERSPOOL™ SYSTEM, KTinuous™ Spooling technology and CONDUKT™ Web Transport.

Growth through Innovation & Technology

KT’s growth is based on constant innovation and effective technology. We are focused on developing new methods to combine materials like films and nonwovens into semi-finished products, like CORE-LOKT™, for our customers. Our recent upgrading of our coating and printing processes represent a multi-million dollar investment in the printed film market and a commitment to our customers to meet their changing packaging needs.
